PGA Resorts to Anti-Saudi Propaganda to Defuse Fear of LIV Competition

Greg Norman, former PGA super-star, is the CEO and Commissioner of Saudi Arabian LIV Golf Investments. Rather than admit to fear of competition, the PGA instigated an anti-Saudi theme of human rights violations. Vilifications of the Saudis include Khashoggi’s murder and the death penalty for gays. PGA’s vindictive treatment continues for Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, and 17 other professional golfers who compete in Saudi-backed LIV Golf Events. 

Saudi Arabia’s LIV Golf stands for the Roman numeral 54, for the 54 holes in each golf tournament. It is the score a golfer would have if they birdied each hole on a par 72 course. The Saudi Government pledged $400 million to start LIV. Eight tournaments are scheduled for this year, with 5 of them in the United States. 

The PGA was founded in 1916, and currently operates 6 tours, including in China and the United Kingdom. Unfazed by oppressive Communist Chinese human rights violations and brutal persecution of their Uyghur Muslims, PGA Tour China was founded in 2014. 

Propaganda alleges that Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, ordered the murder and dismemberment of Jamal Khashoggi. Jamal was a reporter for the Washington Post who lived in the United States. The Post is owned by billionaire socialist Jeff Bezos. Jamal wrote articles critical of the Kingdom. While in Istanbul to visit his Turkish fiancé, Hatice Cengiz, Khashoggi was killed. Propaganda asserts that the Crown Prince dispatched 20 hapless yahoo Saudis on a manifested flight to Turkey to murder Khashoggi at the Embassy.

It is horrendous that gays are punished with death penalties in some Muslim countries. Khashoggi was not gay, and he had been married 3 times. Jamal was in Istanbul to obtain a divorce certificate so he could marry Hatice. The death penalty for gays is touted as one reason for accusations that the Crown Prince ordered the gruesome murder. Khashoggi’s children from previous marriages continue to live in Saudi Arabia. 

The Crown Prince is intelligent, educated, and wealthy. He denies involvement. If murder had been his goal, there were easy ways. Poison is swift, silent, and deadly. It seems improbable that readily traceable Saudi blokes would be dispatched to Istanbul by the Crown Prince to carry out a messy murder at the Embassy.  

Expectations that Israel and Saudi Arabia could become potential allies were recently highlighted by Prince bin Salman. An over-used Islamic quote “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” could be at play. The Islamic Nation of Iran continues to threaten both Israel and Saudi Arabia. Iranian television broadcasts simulated videos of bombs being dropped on Tel Aviv and on Riyad. 

Iranian Mullahs hate the Jewish State because it is Jewish. Iran hates Saudi Arabia because it is home to two of Islam’s holiest sites, Mecca and Medina, which it covets. Iran backs the Houthi Rebels fighting in Yemen against Saudi Arabia. Iran bankrolls Hamas terrorists against Israel.  

Human rights abuses in Iran are rampant. Iran brags that there are no gay men in their country.  Gays are pushed off rooftops, or hanged in the public square. 

The Abraham Accords, which were spearheaded by President Donald Trump, normalized relations between the Jewish State and the Islamic Nations of Egypt, Jordan, U.A.E, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco. President Joe Biden shelved the Accords. He has insulted the Saudi King and the Crown Prince; neither will accept Biden’s phone calls.
